In 1996, I finally got the guts to put in a high performance car audio system. It took about 6 months to complete. I took it to several shows including Spring Break Nationals at Daytona Beach in 1997. It was very strange at first driving around a car with this much stuff in it. But after time, I took the car everywhere and anywhere. In time I filled the inside of the car with neons and colored strobe lights.
Some time in 1998, I was at school on a Saturday when it rained around 12 Inches in a few hours. The parking lots and roads were totally under water to the point where you could not see any curbs.
Well, I figured it wouldn't be a problem getting out since I knew the place very well. I was on my way to victory when I was pulling out of the school onto the main road. I never realized until then, that the road dipped low before getting on the main road. The car rocked like a boat, and then sunk.. The water was over the tires and I was stuck. The engine blew and water came in through the muffler. There was also 2 or 3 inches of water inside the car.
This pretty much brought the end to the show car. It served it's purpose. I stripped the entire car out and still have the equipment waitting to get put into another car.
